So earlier this morning I was driving... driving to work... driving to work, trying to find a radio station that was playing Christmas songs... what did I find?
No bloody station had Christmas songs! Damn it, when a person is in the bloody Christmas mood, no one obliges him with some old time Christmas songs. It's only one month out of the year, and I can't get some Christmas joy.
Goddamn it! What bloody Grinch stole my Christmas music?
So now I'm at work, I still have that itch for Christmas songs. I've been using Pandora for a few months now, and I try it out.
What is Pandora? It's an online streaming personal radio station. What's the difference from the other thousands of radio stations?
You create your personal radio station by plugging in a genre, artist or group, and Pandora creates a radio station that fits that key word. Brilliant.
Once you create your personal radio station, you're able to give a thumbs up or down on each song, and by doing that, the service fine tunes your radio station to match your listening pleasure.
One minus is that Pandora doesn't play that song that you plug in. It plays songs similar to your search word. It's still cool. You get a mix of songs by artists you forgot about, and the songs Pandora plays are in the genre of your search term!
I now have Christmas songs from Bing Crosby, Louis Armstrong, Nat King Cole, etc! Good oldie Christmas songs. You gotta register, and there's big freakin ads that can be ignored, so its all right!
